Oops, forgot to say I wasn't going to be here for a while.

I'm on vacation in England and I just realized I forgot to do a post saying I wouldn't be posting for a while. I was really busy writing my final exam in a course and getting ready to leave.
I'll be gone for about three weeks visiting my sister in London UK and going around to see the sites.
I'm planning to look for cool old movie theatres so hopefully I'll have some interesting pics to post when |I get back.

I'll be back about May 27.

i went to western film tonight, and it seems like the natural order of events to post here, even though you're away.

i'm taking a night class from monday to thursday, so i won't be able to catch ms. pettigrew this week, but i was able to watch stop-loss.

i wasn't expecting much and was very pleasantly surprised. gotta love ryan phillippe. (and channing tatum definitely needs to hone his acting skills).

i haven't written about movies here for a while seeing as i wasn't here last week. so i'll just give my impressions on movies i've watched over the past 2 weeks.

smart people - alright, nothing special.
made of honor - actually really funny. i love mcdreamy...
baby mama - utterly disappointing.
88 minutes - garbage.
21 - cool, but nothing special. it was good to see kevin spacey back (and good). plus, jim sturgess is great. and i really like aaron yoo - he's funny.
redbelt - i really liked it (save for its lack of denouement).

on a side note - going to the movies alone was not at all a depressing experience.

Just got back from leatherheads. Not too impressed. Sure, the film has its moments, especially when that 1930s wit shines through in sassy dialogue, especially from renee zelwegger. The main problem with the film is its pacing, I suppose, as Clooney tries ever so hard to create the 1920s feel. His efforts take its toll on the film's 'watchability'.

Still, if Clooney doesn't stand out as a director, his work as an actor was great. He is fantastic in comedy, as can be seen in the Coen Brothers' "O Brother Where Art Thou"

to continue my long list of posts that won't be read until may 27 (or later) - i remember a while back you posted the trailer for A Righteous Kill... i thought it was nothing special. there's a new trailer out that actually makes it look pretty cool...

just thought you'd want to check that out.
