What movie has been remade the most?
I'm referring to remakes not sequels, prequels etc. For example King Kong from 2005 was a remake of the 1933 film which was also remade in 1976.

How about "The Picture of Dorian Gray"? First made in 1916, then remade in 1945, 1973, 2004 and 2006 - total of 5 - so far. New remake coming out in 2007.

How about Romeo & Juliet? There has been over 40 movie versions of the tale, with the first made in France in 1900!
